One of the most controversial effects of World War One was the suppression of civil liberties that came along with it. For example, the Sedition and Espionage Acts basically made it a crime to criticize the government or the war effort. What is your opinion about these laws and the other things that came from this time like changing the name of hamburgers to "liberty sandwiches"? Did these laws go too far in limiting the rights of Americans? Explain your answer with examples.
