Alexander the great was the king of ancient Macedonia for less than 13 years, he was also one of the world's greatest military generals. Alexander the great created a vast empire that stretched from Macedonia to Egypt and from Greece to part of India, which allowed for Hellenistic culture to become widespread.

1882 - the chinese exclusion act was passed.

1883 - a decision in the civil rights cases legalized racial segregation in the united states.

1887 - the dawes act was passed.

1893 - the panic of 1893 took place. (what a creative name)
