The hero's journey arc can be observed, at least in part, in most stories you read, watch, or hear. The heroes are not always the same, and their challenges and roads of trials are certainly not the same. The evil they must overcome is not the same either. However, the framework of their stories is very often the same. Use The Hero’s Journey framework that you’ve outlined to compare Harry Potter to a second film of your choosing. Write two paragraphs that demonstrate how Harry and the protagonist in a second film share the same story framework, despite the different surface narratives of their stories.

Remember, DO NOT simply summarize the hero’s journey and then list ways that these characters experience it. Instead, identify TWO STEPS of the hero’s journey that both characters experience and write a paragraph (6 sentences) about each aspect.

In each paragraph, DEFINE what the step of the journey is, DESCRIBE the experience each character has that maps to that step, EXPLAIN how you know that experience is representative of that step, and SHOW how this shows that both stories have the same underlying framework.

Paragraphs should be 12pt font, double spaced
