Why did the Kansas-Nebraska Act anger many members of the Free-Soil Party? They did not want slavery to spread into the free states.
They were afraid the territories would vote against slavery.
They were afraid the territories would be filled with slaveholders.
They opposed the Missouri Compromise, which the act supported.
