Some Sikhs still dream of seceding from India to create the independent country of Khalistan ("land of the pure"), which would be governed according to the principles of the Sikh faith. Although this is not a realistic possibility, do you understand why these Sikh separatists hold this view? What kind of challenges do religious minorities face when they live in a region which is dominated by other religions? Have you ever experienced this, and if so did you find it difficult?
