Eventually, in 907, the Tang dynasty was ended after Zhu Wen, the then military governor, ousted the last emperor of Tang, known as Emperor Ai of Tang, and later poisoned him to death.

Zhu Wen eventually made himself the Emperor Taizu or Laing to the vacant throne.

Song Dynasty

Song Dynasty lasted between 960 to 1279.

The dynasty was preceded by Later Zhou and followed by the Yuan dynasty after its collapse.

It was established by Emperor Taizu of Song.

It was basically divided into two districts namely Northern and Southern Song.
