I will give brainiest this is due soon pls help Amendment Scenarios Directions: Read each of the scenarios. First, decide if the scenario is or is not a violation of someone’s constitutional rights. Finally, if the scenario is a violation, describe what part of the Constitution was violated.

1) Jim would like to vote, but he doesn’t have the money necessary to pay the fee at his local polling place required for voting.

2) Mary went to vote, but the election official told her that since no woman candidate was running this year, she would be unable to vote.

3) Michael, an 18 year old high school student, tried voting at his polling place which was coincidently at his school. His guidance counselors instructed the polling workers that since he did not pass his required civics class, he should not be allowed to vote.

4) There is a farm labor shortage nationwide. Steve, a retiree, was ordered to by the courts to work at his neighbor’s farm for two hours per day to help prevent food shortages.

5) Seven counties in Texas are completely dry. This means that no one may produce or sell alcohol in those counties.

6) Prior to the 1950s in much of the southern states, African-American and white children went to separate schools.
