When land in a town or city is in dispute, it may be due to the possession of natural resources, for example, a place where there are mineral resources such as oil will probably be a place where there will be territorial dispute.

Currently, there are several geopolitical conflicts arising from territorial disputes taking place in the world, such as Israel's territorial control of 75% of the area of Palestine.

Therefore, it is necessary for such disputes to occur fairly, to have a global treaty of peace and conciliation between countries in dispute, so that each location is independent and not subject to dispute.

the catholic church withhold people's access to the bible during the middle ages.

people could go to church and listen to the teachings, but it was absolutely forbidden to own and/or read the books of both the old and new testaments. it was also prohibited to translate the books (which where originally in biblical hebrew) to any other language.

this was done so the church could remain in control of what their teachings were and to enhance their importance and power, while also being able to judge people's actions through information that was unavailable for the general public.
