Describe the negative working conditions and living conditions that were a result of the Industrial Revolution.

The Industrial Revolution was a period of time between the 1700s and 1800s during which society modernized its production systems, giving rise to the first industrial societies based on wage labor.

This period, despite being positive for the history of mankind, had its negative consequences. Thus, workers went from living in a subsistence economy to living in an urban environment with great labor competition that caused their wages to fall and their work periods to increase considerably. This meant that although workers enjoyed better products and services, they did not have the time and space available to be able to use them fully: workers became almost an exclusive component of the production system.
