Iroquois war happened between native American tribes supported by British empire against Native American tribes supported by the France Empire.

The war was initiated to determine who held control over the lower Great Lakes region  and  Saint Lawrence River valley. Obtaining control over these regions would give the victor with control over water trading routes to highly populated locations in Canada.

The war was indecisive. Meaning that there's no clear winner in that war. But still, the hostility that exist between opposing tribes still persists. As a result, several of those tribes chose to move to the west and southern part of the battle ground for a fresh start.
