The press and radio had to follow the clear instructions set by the Nazis, and broadcast on the radio or print in the media only what I was ordered by the ruling structures. That pressure became even greater after Hitler became chancellor in 1933, the media being completely controlled by the National Socialist Party of Germany. The Nazis also destroyed literature that was contrary to the ideology led by Hitler. It is very important that democratic and civilized societies have free media.
