right/amendment in the Constitution so people can express themselves without fear, if it didn't exist, there would be a lot more oppression and lack of rights to minorities. The 1st amendment impacts my community because it makes sure that it is against the law to discriminate against anyone of any race, gender, sexuality, and more!
