Write a paragraph describing the change that took place in the African slave trade in the 1500s. Describe the Middle Passage and its toll on people. I already have some information, but it's asking for a 6-8 sentence paragraph. Here's what I have so far:
The Portuguese and Spanish began a demand for slaves in 1520. Many slaves did not survive. The infamous Middle Passage was the middle or second point of the transportation route. The transportations process made millions of Africans endure harsh conditions and disease. Europeans sold merchandise for slaves and then sold the slaves to place in the Indies.
