French Revolutionary assembly. Called first as the Estates General, the three estates came together and demanded radical change. It passed the Declaration of the Rights of Man in 1789 and abolished feudalism privileges in France. The importance of building the new french society was to establish a democratic leadership representing the French citizenry.
