For this activity you will write a simple limerick about what you learned about the Industrial Revolution. A limerick is a humorous, frequently bawdy, verse of three long and two short lines rhyming aabba. Here is an example of a limerick

My neighbor came over to say,
Although not in a neighborly way,
That he'd knock me around,
If I didn't stop the sound,
Of the classical music I play.

For your limerick you MUST demonstrate that you learned something from this last unit. It can be about themes like the Industrial Revolution, or about people that were mentioned. You can talk about new American businesses, what life was like for the average worker, workers going on strike, life in cities, urbanization etc.

This is the first time I have tried this writing prompt and it may fail horribly! If you write a good limerick that was relevant to the knowledge you gained and your score isn't what it should be email me so I can take a look and probably change your grade.

If you still don't understand how to write a limerick just do an internet search on how to write a limerick. There are millions of good sites.
