I believe the answer would be C. An educational movement that stressed the wisdom of the classical world. 

Since humanism is an outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance human rather than divine or supernatural matters. So, just by the definition both A and B can be ruled out. 

It was also a cultural movement that turned away from medieval scholasticism and revived interest in ancient Greek and Roman thought. The classical world was centered on the Mediterranean Sea and was comprised of the interlocking civilizations of Ancient Greece and ancient Rome. So, that is what brought me to the conclusion of C for my answer.
