    The Polynesians were indigenous people whose expansion of human colonization by the remote Pacific began around 1600 BC. On the other hand, the Vikings were descendants of the Germanic people and there is evidence of them reaching the Americas and making massive maritime expansion from the 750 to 1050.

    Polynesians made trips in canoes and they were dedicated to agriculture and navigation. They sailed from Tahiti to Hawaii and reached Easter Island. On the other hand, the Vikings were merchants and aggressive looters, attacking and expanding into the coasts of England, Ireland, and Scotland. They burned and looted cities in Belgium, Italy, France, Holland, and Spain. They relied on herding, hunting, and trapping for survival since their environments were too harsh for agriculture.

    Today, Polynesians are spread over an area that forms an immense triangle, with the Hawaiian Islands, New Zealand, and Easter Island as vertices. The Vikings emigrated to many places, including modern Holland, France, England, Spain, Slavic lands, as well as islands in the North Atlantic. They eventually settled in Scandinavia, which includes Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
