Jonathan Edwards said that the power of kings pales in comparison to the power of God.

In his sermon, "Sinners in the Hands of An Angry God," Jonathan Edwards explained that God's power was much more superior when compared to the power of Kings.

He quoted Luke 12:45 to support this. There the scriptures says;

And I say unto you my Friends, be

not afraid of them that kill the Body, and after that have

no more that they can do: But I will forewarn you whom ye

shall fear; fear him, which after he hath killed, hath Power

to cast into Hell; yea I say unto you, fear him.

This scripture says that God's power was superior to those of humans. So, he is to be feared more than men.
