Although controversial, these figures should have remained not as a symbol of the atrocities commited on the Native Americans, but as a reminder to be responsible, moral, and peaceful when reaching new frontiers. We should not erase the ugly parts of history; we must learn to embrace them and learn from them, or else the mistakes of the past will come to haunt us in the future.
