What does the film show us about the place of women in society? How does Mary, and how do other women, relate to men? How do the women depicted in the film change their view of
their own roles, their place with the family and their communities?

food chain i would say only because there is competition on getting food and survival

no every country is held to the same degree as others just some member countries such as the usa and germany are more economically sound so the need to show there support to all others  

the mothers played a major role in confronting the government and ending the war.
