Discuss the ways in which the powers of Congress have changed over time. Explain why this has happened and give at least one specific example in your discussion

Heres the answer to the question for anyone who needs it:

The powers of Congress have changed a lot over time. This has happened in an effort to help balance the powers between the three braches of government.
Congress was granted more powers than it originally had in order to help maintain a balace of power and so that it has the ability to check the executive and
judicial powers more often. One example of how Congress had a change in power was when the National Emergencies Act was passed. This act enabled
Congress to restrict the president's emergency powers. After this act was passed, the president's power to declare a national emergency was limited as the
president is now required to inform Congress when he or she intends to declare a national emergency.
