What was the Great Compromise? What came out of this compromise?

Basically the small states and big states were fighting in early USA and they thought it was unfair because big states had more votes than small states because of population. They made it so there were two houses, senate and house of representatives. the upper house would have equal representation from each state, while the lower house would have proportional representation based on a state’s population.
