Zheng He had visited regions of the world long before European explorers ever dared to venture there. In fact, some historians suggest that had Zheng He’s journeys continued, he might have explored the Americas. China, not European nations such as Spain, Portugal, and Great Britain, might have been first to colonize and influence the New World.
