It is important to vote the right candidate because that person will represent your country, organization, or state. the person that you choose can impact laws and rules implemented and it would be in your best interest to vote for someone who most closely represents your views. for example, if i were a pro-choice, anti-war, anti- racism person i would not want someone who was pro-life, war oriented, and racist in office or in a position of power. hope this helps.
