1. Roosevelt is the figure on the left, even though he is emblematic since America is unconcerned about some of the other countries fighting.

2. Since it says "Hitlers" and "Nazi Fever" in Germany, Russian, Italian, and European languages.

3. Because there are mile after mile of sea, America claims this. They should keep their private matters private.

4.America had previously witnessed the horrors of war and refused to do business with Germany and their conflict.

5.The cartoonists' major point was to demonstrate how America dealt with events that had nothing to do with their nation.
