The Communists in China are similar to the communists around the world. The lower class, and poorer people are trying to revolt against the wealthy class, like landlords. The Chinese's propaganda was directed at farmers. Farmers had to pay for their land, but also struggled to maintain and grow their produce, which caused them to be in greater debt.
