How does globalization affect U. S. citizen's civil liberties?

How does Globalization affect the nation's security from domestic and foreign threats?

Since I'm giving 100 points can you give examples for your reasoning?

1.) It increases the demand for social protection, while at the same time it takes away the responsibility of the state to provide it.

For Example:

If people depend on the state to protect their rights and privacy, but the state decides to shake their head and decline, who will protect them, and who can they trust?  They are left scared, and when people are scared they result to fighting for their lives and fighting for what they want (In this case, the state's protection.)

2.) Some cultures may be harmed, and local environments may suffer.  It allows people to communicate, travel, and invest internationally, and helps companies market their products widely.

For Example:

If people can't communicate, it breaks relationships and distances them more from others.
