3. Americans feared communism and wanted to limit its spread across the globe. (I can't confidently answer the second part)

4. He was a paranoid dictator, and he killed a lot of people in his efforts to modernize the USSR. Ex: He killed or sent people to concentration camps who he suspected that they would kill him or was a threat to him in any other ways.

5. They didn't want another war so the leader of the UK of the time tried to negotiate with Nazi Germany that they could only have the ethnically german part of czechoslovakia. Did it work? ha no

6. Japan's invaded because since the island itself is actually poor in natural resources, they needed to invade other countries to get the materials to supply its army. The invasion of Manchuria if I remember correctly was because Japan's army wanted the land for its abundant resources.
