Which of the following statements can be supported by the information in the two maps? (
Map 1 (County-level voting results in Mississippi: 2008 Presidential Election). Shows how each county voted during the 2008 presidential election. Most of the blue, or democratic, counties are indicated as a group clustered on the western boundary of the state. A few blue states appear in the central east portion of the state and a few along the coastline.
