Make your argument: Why should Alexander
the Great be remembered as a hero?

Alexander did many great things that are deserving of the title "Hero". He created the largest empire the world has seen to this day, he worked to end racism within his empire when he conquered new lands, and he believed women had a right to work just as men did. Not only did he do all of these things he was also one of the best military generals our world has seen and many of his military strategies are still put into play this day.

in 1803 the louisiana purchase took place, doubling the size of the country. by 1840 almost 7 million americans had migrated westward in hopes of securing land and being prosperous. the belief that settlers were destined to expand to the west is often referred to as manifest destiny.
