The first march by the women suffrage group to demand for inclusiveness of women in politics was held in 1908 and before then women were not allowed to participate in politics and this included attending constitutional convention or any kind of political gatherings. women were also not allowed to vote in elections prior to the formation of the women suffrage groups that demanded the inclusion of women into politics by the Government.

The women suffrage groups lobbied their way to achieve this. and they lobbied for certain issues as well with convention members off site of the convention.
