How were the americans able to get the united nations involved in the korean war, even over the ussr's veto in the security council? a) the soviets chose not to use their veto in the security council because they wanted a clear conclusion to who controls korea. b) the soviets were boycotting the security council because the un refused to accept china. they weren't able to use their veto power to prevent the un getting involved in korea because they weren't there. c) the soviets vetoed the resolution on korea but they were out-voted by france, england, canada, and the usa. thus, the un entered the korean conflict. d) the united states never received clearance from the un security council to commit troops in korea. they did it anyway.
