World war two started September 1, 1939 and ended September 2, 1945. World War two started after World War 1 when the US made Germany pay for the damages of World War 1. Germany then when into debt and needed a plan to get out of debt. Adolf Hitler then steps into the picture.

The atrocious Adolf Hitler shared his plan. His plan was to get money from the citizens. What citizens had money? The Jewish community. Hitler already had an anti-Semite point of view, this basically helped him pursue his view but have it look like it was helping.

The Holocaust is an effect of world war two. The Holocaust is the genocide of millions of Jews. The Jews were sent to Concentration camps, such as Auschwitz. Auschwitz is now used as a memorial and museum. Anyone can visit Auschwitz and see the artifacts recovered as well as the rooms where the Jews, worked, slept, and were killed. One popular Jew who was captured is Anne Frank. Her diary was found and eventually published by her father. Anne Frank's story is heartbreaking, but so were all of the others.

Due to world war two the survivors have been emotionally and physically scarred for life. In other parts of the world, The Soviet Union and The USA became the most successful/the superpowers of the world. At least 75 million people died from this war.
