The motto, "No taxation without representation", had related to the events that led to the American Revolution by frustrating the colonists even more. They had been wanting independence for quite a while before the taxation began. They were being taxed and forced to pay money to people who did not include them in national decisions. Colonists felt that if they were going to be taxed, they should have representation in the English Parliament. Protests happened in forms of boycotts and physically assaults of the British who came to collect the taxes. Tensions kept rising and eventually the American Revolution began.

1 problem today is that it caused to much crime americans are born with freedom and liberty and not being restricted to things causing lots of crimes because there free until proven guilty and commit a crime
