and flew military missions. what factors do you think led the air force to make them civilian volunteers?
what had changed by 1977 when the wasps finally received military status?
3. the wasp program ended in 1944. at that point male flight instructors wanted their jobs back. why was it
considered acceptable for women to free men to fight but not to hold jobs that otherwise might be filled by
men? why couldn't wasps get civilian flying jobs after the war even though they were experienced pilots?
