One of the issues regarding the Corridor project is that it runs through delicate regions, notably Gilgilt-Baltistan in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Consequently, one of the stages of CPEC clashes with the interests of neighboring country India, whose claim considers such territory an integral part of their country.
