Before the Constitution was adopted in 1787, the Articles were a loose Governing Document meant to give individuals and states far more rights than the Federal Government. The Government could not have a standing army, collect taxes, make decisions, etc. Basically it gave states almost full control to prevent a Dictatorship or Kingdom

the common people were given the right to vote. jacksonian popular government was a nineteenth century political reasoning in the united states that upheld more noteworthy vote based system for the basic man as that term was then characterized. starting with president andrew jackson and his supporters, it turned into the country's overwhelming political perspective for an age.

he believed that congress would be better not dealing with "lobbyists", or people who seek to influence (a politician or public official) on an issue, since historically, they had problems with these kinds of people. he thought lobbying produces benefits, but should be carefully monitored.
