Role of women in French Revolution:

Women were denied many rights in the Pre French revolution era, amongst which the Right to Vote got all of theirs attention.  During the French Revolution, women started their own newspapers and journals, started women clubs for the welfare of the women and to discuss their problem.

As mentioned earlier, they wanted to enjoy equality in the society with men, for which Right to vote seemed like the first step and hence most of their newspaper articles and movements were based on Right to Vote, the right which they finally gained in 1946.
