What made the leadership of the tunica-biloxi tribe unique? their society was organized into castes under the rule of a king. tribal lineage was traced along the mother’s line, and they were ruled by a woman. supreme power was in the hands of a male chief, who had power over all of the villages. power was shared between a military chief and a chief who oversaw tribal affairs.
