Jenny was thrilled about visiting her cousin in arizona. although jenny had never met caitlin in person, the two had exchanged numerous cards and emails. they had conversed on the phone for hours, and jenny felt as though they were best friends. yet, she was a bit apprehensive about meeting caitlin face to face.
the car finally pulled up to the driveway, and jenny saw caitlin bolt out of the house.
"you're just in time! " caitlin exclaimed. "i baked a cake for you and i just finished frosting it."
caitlin cut two large pieces, one for each of them. jenny took a bite of the cake and ,begin underline, grimaced, end underline,. she tried to maintain a smiling face, but it was all she could do to swallow the cake.
"what's wrong? " caitlin asked as she took her first bite. "oh, no! what did i do? " caitlin looked aghast as she ran toward the counter. "i think i used salt instead of sugar! "
both girls looked at each other and started laughing so hard, tears ran down their faces. jenny knew this was going to be a wonderful visit.
