The biggest difference between the American and British forces at the beginning of the revolutionary war was that British were a model army. The britishers had fought wars decade after decade and they were a proper army. Whereas, the Americans were a guerilla forces. They were basically farmers who were fighting. Their ary generals were those who had once served the British army.
