Why did most immigrants choose to come to united states

Most of the immigrants came to USA for seeking better opportunities in economic, religious and social freedom

Most the immigrants came to USA in 19th century. Many of them were from different european states and some were slaves from Africa. Some people came there for seeking greater economic opportunity, while some, such as the Pilgrims in the early 1600s, arrived in search of religious freedom. Some people in early stages thought that there is gold in USA but desperately they were wrong where most of them were Chinese but when the Gold Rush ended, Chinese Americans were considered cheap labor.
