During the Second World War, the Japanese people attacked the naval base in what is called Pearl Harbor. This battle between the United States and Japan was one of the main things that made the U.S involved in the World War. Because of the attack on Pearl Harbor, U.S citizens were terrified because of it, and they were scared that there would be another attack on the U.S and it would mess up the economy.
All of the fear led up to the State representatives, in which they made President Roosevelt do something about it. The U.S isolating the Japanese was like Hitler isolating the Jewish, and that would make the U.S look bad, so the U.S wants people to forget that they did this, but it will always be history.
