How does the geography, economy, and culture of the north compare to that of the south?

all the south can really grow is cotton back then. and the north was more subtitle to get supplies because it had more industry. North wanted freedom for the blacks and south wanted them as slaves. North had more moutian ranges and water access, south had the Mississippi river
