What actions inspired the need to develop the universal declaration of human rights? what was recognized by the declaration?

The actions that led to the need to create the universal declaration of human rights were the atrocities committed during World War II when Hitler led the genocide of Jews and other minorities in concentration camps.  World War II was the great motive for the creation of the United Nations for the revision of the laws governing wars (the Geneva Conventions) and the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

The declaration recognized the basic rights of the human being. In its thirty articles, the basic rights for the promotion of a dignified life for all the inhabitants of the world, independent of nationality, color, sex and sexual, political and religious orientation, are listed.
