Dear John,

Hope you're well! It's been a long time since we met, coincidently, through Joanne, our crazy New Yorker friend. I write to you precisely to tell you that next month is already my vacation. I intend to be at my parents' farm here in the suburbs of Fort Worth, taming their crops and animals on their farm. I remember you wanted to visit me, and I think this will be the best opportunity for you to get away from the blizzards of Billings, MT.

John, here in Fort Worth is not getting so cold, so I think we could take advantage of the weather to take a walk through some of the state's cities. We can find  forest, desert, grassland, swamps and mountains, in our way.

As soon as I finished my duty at my parents' house, we got back together in Dallas by bus, we take my Jeep, and we will head to the south to the gulf. We will find Coastal Plains, with shallow bays and some interesting swamps. If we go to the hill county we will find all kinds of trees, and cactus.  Then we can climb mountains in Guadalupe, in the mountainous part of the state. We can do kayak in caddo lake.

We have also the desert part of the state, where everything is very dry, it makes a little heat during the day, but at night is cold. We can camp there. All this I write to you to know that we can enjoy much every environment, vegetation, climate, in my state.

treaty of greenville (1814) the treaty of greenville (1814) was called a treaty of peace and friendship between the united states of america and the tribes of native americans called the wyandots, delawares, shawanoese, senacas and miamies.

the treaty of colerain was signed at st. marys, georgia in camden county, georgia, by benjamin hawkins, george clymer, and andrew pickens for the united states and representatives of the creek nation, for whom indian trader langley bryant served as an interpreter, on june 29, 1796, proclaimed on march 18, 1797, and codified as 7 stat. 56. colerain was a small community and the site of a u.s. indian factory founded by james seagrove.  

this treaty affirmed the binding of the treaty of new york (1790). the treaties of hopewell and the treaty of holston (1791) established boundary lines between the choctaws, chickasaws, cherokee, and the u.s. the treaty of colerain bound the creek nation to acknowledge the boundaries established in those treaties.  

it also established the boundary line between the creek nation and the united states. at the time of this treaty, the boundaries between spanish florida and the u.s. had not yet been established. this treaty formally allowed the creek chiefs to acknowledge the negotiation for delineating the georgia-florida boundary with spain.  

the treaty contained a provision that the president of the u.s. may establish a trading or military outpost.  

the united states demanded that the creeks give up their american prisoners and also return all "citizens, white inhabitants, negroes and property" taken by the creeks.  

the treaty describes when it would take effect. after the treaty had been signed but not yet promulgated, the u.s. senate requested modification of two articles of the treaty. the first modification stipulated that the military or trading posts would be under the control of the united states. the second modification stipulated that if the u.s. no longer required the use of those posts, the locations would revert to the creek people.  

the assassination of president lincoln was just one part of a larger plot to decapitate the federal government of the u.s. after the civil war. the first reaction to lincoln’s death was disbelief. then it quickly changed to grief. abraham lincoln’s death created an outpouring of grief from citizens in both the north and the south.

lincoln was the first u.s. president to be assassinated. president abraham lincoln, america’s civil war leader, was assassinated just five days after confederate general robert e. lee surrendered his army at appomattox court house, ending the four-year war between the states. on the evening of april 14, 1865, lincoln was attending a performance of our american cousin at ford’s theatre in washington, d.c. john wilkes booth – a 26-year old actor, confederate sympathizer, and white supremacist – slipped into the presidential box and shot lincoln in the head. john wilkes booth and his conspirators had initially planned to kidnap lincoln to save the confederate states. but as the confederacy faltered, booth’s thoughts turned to murder. booth may have decided to act on his hatred after lincoln endorsed giving the right to vote to african-american men who had served in the union army.
