    The Bill of Rights are the first 10 amendments of the United States Constitution. The Bill of Rights documents ten rights that give certain freedoms to the American people. It is one of the most important documents that shape our history as a country, the first amendment gives the freedom of speech, assembly, press, and religion, this is important because our country would not be a country if we could not have religious beliefs of our own and freedom of speech is important because people should say what they believe is best for the country.

    Another example is the fourth amendment, if we did not have this amendment, police officers could search our houses and prison us with no evidence what so ever, this protects our privacy. Privacy is a very important thing to America, privacy is the ability of an individual or group to seclude themselves or information about themselves, and thereby express themselves selectively, mostly because they want to keep what is dear to them secret.

    Another example is the tenth amendment, the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. This is very important because this was a way to establish the police force and state taxes, these are very important because they keep the economy in check by raising or lowering taxes, and by keeping local communities safe by use of police.
