How did the aztecs maintain their political and social power during the height of their empire?

The Aztecs was the last great empire of Mesoamerica (during 1345-1521 A.D), they were located in Northern Mexico and built an empire based on their advanced system of agriculture and irrigation. This advanced system allowed them to stand out between other tribes and made them wealthy. The Aztecs formed a three-way alliance with the states of Texcoco and Tlacopan and defeated their rivals so they became the most important power in Central Mexico establishing their capital in Tenochtitlan which is now known as Mexico City.

The Aztecs grew their empire by conquest and commerce and kept their power because they had a well organized government and military force that ruled with brutal force spreading fear and intimidation through other tribes, mainly because they practiced human sacrifices to give tribute to their Gods, and the Aztec Emperor was seen as a human form of a God.

Other factor that allowed them to keep their power was a highly developed and structured society that had a class division system; the nobles were at the top and the servants at the bottom. Their society was the most advanced between other tribes.

i would say the executive branch is because the executive branch is in charge of enforcing the laws and judicial branch is in charge of enforcing but the executive branch is most responsible for it all so i would have to say the executive branch.
