How is a concurring opinion different from a dissenting opinion

Concurrent opinion The one issued separately by a judge other than the one who writes the majority opinion, in which he expresses his agreement with the latter. The concurrence may be with the result or with the reasoning of majority opinion, or both.

Dissident opinion is essentially a report by a judicial minority. A dissident may represent the opinions of a single judge or may be accompanied by additional judges. A dissenting opinion does not have a precedent value as such since it can not define with authority a point of law
