Imagine that you have a time machine that only works in leaps of exactly 500 years. so you could travel to exactly 500 years ago, 1000 years ago, 1500 years ago, etc. which african civilizations discussed in this lesson could you visit? be sure to mention at least three civilizations and two different time periods.

If I had a time travel machine and it was only able to make leaps of 500 years, than it would be possible to visit:

- D'mt civilization;

in the period of 500 BC, the kingdom of D'mt in what is now Ethiopia was prospering, and the D'mt civilization set the basis for the multiple civilization that descended from it in the centuries to come.

- Egyptian civilization and Nubian civilization;

In the year 2,000 BC the Egyptians were thriving in the northeaster part of Africa, along the shores of the Nile River, and they were one of the greatest civilizations of the ancient world. Just little south of them, was the Nubian civilization, very well known for its excellent cavalry and military character.
